Foko
AYURVEDIC CHEF
Foko is our cherished Ayurvedic chef, bringing heart, wisdom, and nourishment to our retreats. His love for food began at just 12 years old under the guidance of his first teacher—his grandmother. From these humble beginnings, he rose through the ranks of a private cooking agency while cultivating a deep personal practice of yoga with his teacher Michael Stewart, founder of Shanta Vira Yoga.
In 2018, Foko’s culinary journey took a transformative turn as he immersed himself in the study of Ayurveda, embracing food as medicine. At Ayafes Retreat, he crafts meals that are as nourishing for the soul as they are for the body, thoughtfully aligned to support the deep healing work of IFS therapy and Ayahuasca ceremonies. His creations honor the principles of Ayurvedic wisdom—promoting balance, digestion, and holistic well-being throughout the journey.
Foko’s presence is a reminder that healing comes not only through ceremony but also through the simple, sacred act of sharing nourishing food prepared with love.
